Mark here again. This is some of my earlier perceived experiences in the paranormal. Even earlier in my life I believed in ghosts/spirits, but didn't really think of it much as I never had these particular experiences before.
In about 1996 my brother had passed away as a pedestrian when struck by a car in Southern California. I was going through the usual grieving process. About 3 months later, I was standing in my little efficiency apartment in St. Paul (a bit East of Snelling Ave on Ashland Ave), during early afternoon I believe. I was standing in middle of my living room/bedroom area when I suddenly had the feeling like there was someone standing right in front of me and had there face about 4 inches from mine. I could not see anything there. I tried turning left and right but the feeling continued for about 30 seconds and then just stopped. I had a strange feeling like I knew it was my brother. I have no way to describe how I knew, but I just knew. I don't know if it was him deciding to pass on into the “light” and saying good bye for now, or just visiting or what. I have never had that feeling since.
I used to rent a home on the East side of St. Paul (between Payne Ave and Arcade St. and just south of Wheelock Parkway). I was sitting on couch in a dimly lit living room watching TV in the later evening hours and so it was dark outside. Across the room and to the left of me and forward about 15 to 20 feet is a short hallway with my children's bedroom on left, a Bathroom to center, and my bedroom on right. My 2 children where in the room sleeping. I just happened to look left toward my children's bedroom and saw what appeared to be the outline of a large person in total black. The shape appeared to be a full body of which I could mostly see the top half of with an arm up on the right door frame. I could see the light from the living room shining around the outline and on into the room. It startled me for a second, and thought maybe my eyes were playing tricks on me. I sat up a bit on the couch and moved my head about, left and right to see if what I was perceiving was in fact “what I was seeing”. The shape did not move. I got up to investigate more and the shape continued to remain until I got to about the 10 foot mark or closer and then as my shadow was beginning to cast onto the room, it vanished. I did believe in the paranormal at that time and so thought it was a ghost or something on those lines. I did not see eyes looking my way, so it was my belief that if it was an entity that had manifested, that it was looking at my children sleep. I did not become afraid, but actually became angered instead. I believed this was something that had no business in my home, and surely not anywhere close to my children. I firmly and out loud demanded that whatever it was needs to leave now, and it is surely not to mess with my children in any way. I never saw or noticed anything before or after that day there.
In about late August or so 2013 I was living in a 3 Bedroom Apt in the Northern Twin Cities metro area. My 12 year old daughter had been making comment of her rocking chair creaking in the middle of the night, she states about 3am-ish usually. I didn't understand how it was possible as she had so much stuff piled in the chair so I began doing some EVP sessions. I left recorders run in her room once when she was there at first without her knowledge, then some when she was away at grandparents for the weekend. I did some from my room. I got some what I would consider possible EVP's but not definite. Then on Oct 4 2013 at 6:18 PM, I had just come in the door and begin to settle in. My kids were at the Grandparents for the weekend. I set my Dino's Gyro sandwich on the table and was standing up and started to play a voice message on my answering machine recorder. I then noticed something small and white pass to my right and I continued to track it with my eyes around the end of the table and about 1 foot above it and then somehow lost site of it as it got about 4 feet from my front door. It was about 1 inch or so in size and very bright white with thicker round winglets . It was NOT a bug or moth of some sort. It did not bounce around like a bug, but instead made a nice smooth but very fast arc in the direction of my apartment door where I lost it. I then remembered I had seen the same thing about a month earlier but didn't think anything of it doing exactly the same thing. This time I got a very good look at it. I had a security camera in my home of which they both focused on that area. It was close to front door and hallway areas. I reviewed the video and a fast moving small “black” object coming from about the location I lost site of it and come back around me to what would be the opposite side of where I initially saw it and seem to fade into the wall next to me. The strange thing is that the camera that was set up to cover my Apt hallway did not capture anything, and that would be when I saw the "white" object, But, the camera over my door and facing toward the table picked up the small black object at the same point I lost track of the small "white" object, while at the same time never picking up the "white" object coming around me just before that. I never did review the instance I believed I saw this object before as it had already been erased. I then came to the conclusion that this may very well be something paranormal. I also believe that on such shows as Ghost Adventures, there is often video of a small white object that will brush against them or even touch them at the time they claim to have felt a touch. I also believe that what I saw is what a ghost/spirit entity may look like as it condenses what energy it has into a small space or ball in an effort to manifest or do something. A few days later I had a Digital voice recorder running while talking to my daughter regarding what had happened. As she went out door she jokingly told me to be careful. I then captured 2 EVP's. “take that” and “break one t_?_”. As paranormal events seemed to be escalating, although only slightly, I chose to stop doing the EVP sessions to diminish any more activity, which may have helped as I have noticed nothing more since. Based on this experience I believe that consistent repeated attempts to make contact with ghosts/spirits believed to be visiting or residing in a location can cause more activity to develop.
THE END.... Until the next paranormal event.
