Mark, the trusty equipment guy here again. I am starting to like the blog post thing. It gives me a place to put some of my thoughts on the paranormal. Whether they are right or wrong, who knows? My guess is we will never really ever truly know, until the day we pass on into the afterlife of eternity. This blog is primarily what I think happens when we die and thus become a ghost/spirit form of energy. Yes I know, my thoughts become jumbled sometimes, so just bare with me please.
I sometimes watch reruns of Paranormal Investigation shows such as "Ghost Adventures" etc. (Yes I am assuming they are the most truthful show out there, as I often see video postings etc denouncing a person they may have had on their own show that tried fakery... soo). I have also seen other video postings and articles etc on the study of the paranormal. I will try to include some links as to why I believe what I believe and some I will just have to recall my reasoning off the top of my head. First of all I do believe that spirits, who are ghosts that have passed on to be with GOD and among family and friends may and do visit us at times. I have no real evidence to support that statement other than personal experience and friends accounts of such. I have watched a supposed scientific video on Kirlian/GDV photography (look at minutes 1:40 to 2:28 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RDmivrnktkQ ). If it is real it suggests that persons who have passed on suddenly or with charged emotion may be confused and revisit their bodies for a few days after death. On many Ghost Adventures episodes they go into their belief in demon trickery of pretending to be something more docile such as a child, or attempting to use personal things against them, usually captured through EVP or spirit box. On that particular show they also seem to believe that demons and/or more experienced entities will sometimes hold or trap lesser experienced or naive entities with them, possibly using them for energy etc. And so if that is true, my belief is that when we do pass on, we as NEW spirits/ghosts must learn physics in a whole new world to us and also be aware of others who are deceitful and may provide us with false information or a fear of entering "the light" etc. I also believe that much of the thoughts/beliefs in religion as it relates to the afterlife carries with us when we die. It doesn't matter what religion we believe in. I think that when we pass, we may not immediately know what is happening. This light that is a path guiding us to heaven/our meeting with GOD and loves ones (I'm assuming/believe it exists) either only presents itself once, or if the entity chooses to move away from it, may then find it difficult to locate again later on. I hear of many EVP's that others have posted, where the ghost/spirit is requesting "help me", and those persons claim that the request for help is to find the light.
My thoughts on why a ghost/spirit doesn't immediately pass on "into the light" I think is totally different for each individual entity. I base that on what I consider somewhat rational thinking of their circumstances. Some may fear being judged by GOD (so going back to religious beliefs we hold here on earth) for things that they are possibly ashamed of and the possible consequences of being judged for those actions. I believe that a ghost/spirit may not know what is actually on the other side of that "light", until they have entered it (and so may be susceptible to lies and manipulation by other entities/demons etc). Others may have the so called "unfinished business" such as a need to watch over loved ones and to see them grow into fine human beings. Some feel that they have left something uncompleted. I think still other ones remain in a state of confusion and/or denial of their own passing. I think those are the one who become territorial ghosts/spirits. They still hold a claim to a home or property of some sort and so refuse to give up that claim. I mean, they worked hard and bought it and so why should they have to give it up just because they are no longer physically LIVING. Hmmm, I guess if i had passed on and chose to remain here on this earthly plain i would probably hang around the home i was most comfortable and used to. A home that I felt belonged to me.
Anyway, these are just thoughts or ramblings by me on what happens when we die. Do I really know any of this to be truth. No, I won't until my time comes.
